HISTORY Family History: Tony Stark is the son of billionaire industrialist Howard Stark, and heir to the fortune of Stark Enterprises. He has no wife or children of his own, though he has had numerous disastrous relationships in his life. Personal History: Tony was born in 1981 in a luxury hospital in New York, and grew quickly into a budding young genius. His mechanical skill became very apparent at a young age, when he built a working engine at age seven. At age ten, he built his first vehicle, a small off-roading truck made from a customized engine and scrap parts of junk trucks. In 2007, Tony was captured by a group of militant Islamic extremists while demonstrating a new weapon for the American military in Qatar. With the help of a kind old man, a fellow prisoner named Yinsin, he was able to build the Mark 1 Iron suit and escape his captors. Since then, he has protected people worldwide as Iron Man.
SAMPLES In-Character Journal Sample: He mounted his horse quickly, and retreated down the hillside, staying distant from the forest as much as possible. The rumble grew louder, and the ground began to shake as he made his way back down toward the gravel road. Turning toward the forest, he raised his left arm, and a shade sprung from the ground beneath him in that direction. It was black, as all else around, the only visible form and shape given it by the moonlight. It appeared as he did, identical, but for detailed features. Even its horse was the exact image of the original, though a shadowed wraith. “Go,” he called to it, “Find what creature that is so disturbed by my presence in this place. Tell him I mean no harm to him or any of the others here, and ask that he grant me safe passage. I will continue on. Reach me when you have word.” The trees and hills flowed past at a blinding speed as he made his way down. The shade bounded off into the woods, toward the source of the tremors. As it disappeared from his sight, he wondered what could cause such trembling in the earth. Surely, this was nothing to be unwary of. He tried to focus on getting out as quickly as possible. After a short moment, the shade returned to his side and rejoined his being. At once, he knew what it knew. Regardless, he did not need to wait long to see the creature the shade had found. It tore up ground and uprooted trees in its attempts to get to him, eventually running across his path and knocking him to the ground.
In-Character (3rd Person) RP Sample: “When the sun shines, we’ll shine together.” We sang together in her car on the way to the beach. It was the summer after graduation. We were both college-bound, and it was a time for good-byes, though good times still lay before us. The New England weather was, as always, unpredictable during the hour ride to the beach, but we didn’t care. We were determined that it would be a good day. And it was. When we arrived, the tide was just coming in. Waves crashed against jagged rocks along the shore, spraying seafoam over the walls between the sand and the street just above. A cool breeze blew in from the ocean, and people were everywhere. The road along the shoreline was busy, and packed with cars. Restaurants lined the street on one side, and the smell of seafood drifted out from their walls. The sun hung high, but not uncomfortably. The air was mild, and the wind was light. The weather, it seemed, was perfect. When we had finally parked the car, we got out and made our way onto the pale sand. The breeze grew colder as we got closer to the water, but it was still not at all unpleasant. Setting our things down, I looked away as she laid her jeans and white t-shirt on the towel we had brought along and headed down toward the water. She called for me to follow her while I stared out at the ocean, distracted, lost in my own thoughts. “Em, I’ll be right there!” I called back to her when I caught myself.
Anything Else You Want Us To Know: I work most nights, and I get on when I can, but there's no real set time for it.
Tell us about a plot you want to run/participate in: The idea I had (and I talked with Amy about this at work today) was to have Pepper Potts's latent X gene awaken, at her suggestion by an incident while assisting Tony in the lab. Her powers would be liquification of her body and electric manipulation. Also, it goes without saying that after this, Pepper would be quite miffed at Tony for quite a while. While assisting as a lab tech or some sort of secretary at Xavier school, Pepper runs across Magneto, who begins to whisper the voice of dissent and hatred into her pretty little ear. Players can build from there. |
